Quick Review of the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU

Is buying a $500 Gaming laptop worth the price? Acer Aspire E15 is a pretty neat looking gaming laptop, which features some high-end specifications. The design of this laptop is a little old-school, as it has a VGA port and a spot for an optical drive, which is not considered something that laptops come with nowadays.

In the optical drive place you can, for example put an SSD or other type of small apparel for the computer. This laptop has 8 GB of RAM, which is quite a lot for a $500 computer, as usually they come with 4 to 8 GB.

The processor for this one is an i5, 2.3 GHz, which is one of the best ones for a laptop from Intel, without counting some of the latest, i7 ones. Also a 1000 GB hard drive is a ton of space for anything you might need, either those are games, music, movies or editing software, you will have enough space for it all.

The average battery life for this 15.6 inch laptop is 6hours in a continuous usage. The new and modern Windows 10 is already installed for your use, as it is the most advanced OS out there. A mouse, headphones and other accessories won’t be a problem, as you will have 3 USB ports.

Is a $500 Gaming Laptop Worth It?

Is it possible to get a gaming laptop on a budget? Only one way to find out.

With dedicated graphics, a Core i5 and a 1080p screen the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU might not have the easiest to remember name but it can actually handle some decent gameplay in games like Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V, Rocket League and more. My unboxing and review goes over the laptop hardware along with the Windows 10 install and benchmarks of the included Intel Core i5-6200U and Nvidia GT 940M.
